Ever since pottery captured my heart as an art student, I have dreamt of having a studio of my own. In 2020, during the longest summer this world has ever experienced (the pandemic), a tiny ceramic studio was established in our back yard. With our orange cat at my side, I lose track of the hours filling the shelves in the shed with my little creations.
Long Summer Ceramics is made in small batches in Kuau, Maui. I strive to make pieces that are eclectic, with no two items being identical, yet share a common thread. I love funky pops of color, interesting textures, and pieces that have a vintage feel. I hope you will enjoy incorporating these playful pieces into your everyday life… There’s nothing better than drinking from a cheerful, handmade cup!

This is a tiny glimpse into the process of throwing a new piece. After it is thrown, there are many more stages and transformations that occur to create the final product.
